UTILIZATION OF SOLAR ENERGY:
Solar
energy is most economic in low power application. It has many advantages like
Eco friendly and abundantly available energy source in nature. It can be
converted into useful electrical energy in cost effective manner. In recent
year our government also focused for renewable energy sources in India. Solar
energy is one of the most important green energy is on focus due to the
increasing price of crude oil in International market, and environment point of
view.
India
is such a country in which there are such a remote and under-developed area,
where it is nearly impossible to give grid connection due to many reason. So,
there are only photovoltaic inverter system is only the most economic way to
fulfilled their energy requirement and make like simpler and convenient.

Taking
this view with mind we are going to design and built model of solar inverter,
using light dependent relay. This is the system which can give power in day and
night without any difficulties. It also additionally gives the provision for
charging external battery. Solar panel harnessing the solar energy from Sun.
And the battery is used to store the energy. Since most of the application is
run on AC power. So, inverter circuit is required to convert the DC power to AC
power.
Finally
we design a modified square wave inverter, which gives Square wave as output
from inverter circuit. Then by using filter circuit we modified square wave
into Trapezoidal wave, which reduces the harmonics than that of square wave.
Relay driver circuit is used for the smooth operation of the solar inverter. It
can supply power 24 X 7. Really driver circuit connect the battery and inverter
circuit directly from solar Panel for both charging the battery and power
output from the inverter. In night time when solar panel stop working it cuts
the connection from solar panel and battery is connected to the inverter that
it can give continuous power in night time also without any difficulties. At
last we combine the both circuit and solar panel as a source and as a whole it
becomes a solar inverter. Output of the inverter is 12 volt AC 50 Hz, so we
used a step up transformer to up the voltage to 230 volt
